The Death of Katherine of Aragon - KIMBOLTON CASTLE

On this very day January 7th, 1536.... 489 years ago, Katherine of Aragon died at Kimbolton Castle. Katherine was Henry VIII's first wife and mother to his eldest child, Mary I. Henry VIII and Katherine had in total 6 children together- including a boy that lived for 52 days which they named Henry. They were married nearly 24 years by the time their marriage was annulled by Bishop Cranmer in 1533. I tell you more about her final days and death here....

While the structure you see in the video has been updated since Katherine's stay there, the layout of the rooms is the same. The room she died in is in the exact same place, the chapel her body laid in state in is the exact same chapel in the exact same space. I also show you some of the original Tudor Structure that was there during Katherin's time at Kimbolton Castle.
