Mary Queen of Scots Flees to Inchmahome Priory
I'm so excited to share our fourth instalment of our Mary Queen of Scots series! In our fourth episode of our Mary Queen of Scots Trail: Following in her Footsteps- we head to Inchmahome Priory where Mary and her mother fled for safety during a time period called The Rough Wooing. This is when Henry VIII was trying to force Scotland by military might to have Mary be betrothed to and eventually marry Henry's son Edward.
Inchmahome Priory has been closed for years due to masonry inspections. We were one of the first people able to film there once it was opened. A super special thank you to HISTORIC ENVIRONMENT SCOLAND for that!
