Gwenllian - The Only Woman to Lead an Army in Medieval Welsh History: Cydweli/Kidwelly Castle

It's Women's History Month. It has been a particular passion and goal of mine to tell the stories of women in the Middle Ages whenever I can. If I could introduce you to one woman's story, it would be about Gwellian. Gwenllian was an incredible woman who rose up to fight for both her family and her people...and she is the only woman in Welsh Medieval history to lead an army. Her ghost is said to still haunt Cydweli or Kidwelly Castle.
