Berkeley Castle - The Death of Edward II

Edward Il supposedly died at Berkeley Castle in 1327. Edward was the first king of England to ever be deposed. He was married to Isabella of France and was known to have close controversial relationships with several men. Historians continue to debate the particulars of who ordered the death, how he died, if he was murdered, or if he actually escaped the castle and another body was buried in his place.
